The Brew Blazes ~ Saving the World 12oz at a Time!

"The Brew Blazes was born after our kids came to us and basically said that we needed to start recycling our beer bottles," said The Brew Blazes founders Tim Pattison and Tonya Wilson Maloy.  Pattison is passionate about his new venture, "Our candles not only look cool. but they are environmentally friendly as well!"

The Joys of Soy!
All of The Brew Blazes candles are made with 100% soy wax. Soy wax is made from hydrogenated soybean oil, which is naturally biodegradable. Soybeans are a renewable resource as well. Soy wax is much easier to remove from materials and other types of surfaces than traditional candle wax. Soy wax is non-toxic & burns cleaner than paraffin wax. There is zero petrol-carbon soot which can discolor walls, ceilings, and furniture. Soy wax doesn’t contaminate the ventilation duct work in your home, nor does it add toxic chemicals into the air you breathe. Candles made from soy wax burn slower and cooler than paraffin wax, creating a longer burning candle. The Brew Blazes candles burn at an average rate of 8-9 hours per OUNCE of wax.

The Blazing Process ~ ~ You get what you pay for!
Once every bottle and growler used for one of the Brew Blazes candles is cut, it goes through a 3-stage sanding process and then fire polishing to ensure each candle has the smoothest possible edge. After sanding and fire polishing, the bottles head off to a sanitation phase where they are then cleaned and sanitized to give the wax the best surface possible for adherence. After sanitizing, the bottles then head over to the wicking and wax line where they are fitted for wicks. All of the wicks are custom selected for the specific type of soy wax used in our candles. This ensures the best burn time and wax fall for the Brew Blazes candles. Once the bottles are fitted with wicks, they are then rolled out for pouring. They pour each candle in place where it will setup for 24 hours. By pouring the wax in this manner the wax is allowed to setup without disturbance, which gives a smoother top, fewer to no air pockets and gives the best wax to wick adherence.

The Brew Blazes Candles ~ The true meaning of Recycle and Reuse!
Made from the coolest recycled bottles from the best craft brewers, wineries, and distillers, they’re a pure, creamy, white candle that over time gently reveals a hint of natural color from the essential oil added during it’s creation. A bit of frosting around the edges show they have a bit of character. A slight ripple in an otherwise smooth surface lets you know the soy candle was poured by our hands. If you happen to buy one of our candles that has a fragrance, you can’t miss the intoxicating aroma that tells you every ounce of soy wax was saturated to have a long lasting scent. This 100% natural, smart, earth-friendly approach produces the cleanest burning candle available. A Brew Blazes soy candle is a candle that’s not only good for your own personal environment, it’s good for the planet. As we like to say, "we’re saving the world 12oz at a time," says Pattison.
