Brewery: Port Brewing
Origin: San Marcos, CA
Style: Imperial India Pale Ale
Serving: 22oz Bomber - bottle poured
Pours: A hazy coppery orange... snowy white head.
Nose: Hoppy Hoppington... like a big hoppy oil slick. Citrusy sweetness... boozy.
Taste: Bitter as all get out... HOP MONSTER! A bitter kick in the face. For a beer with such remarkably unbalanced hoppiness it doesn't leave much of a lingering aftertaste. Crisp and dry.
Drinkability: I was able to pour 2 fairly decent glasses from this (22oz) bottle, and I don't think I could have any more. A great beer for hop heads... something to look forward to at the end of May every year, but certainly not for everybody.
